The following terms and conditions apply to Vodafone Giga5G Mobile Data Plans:

  • Usability:  Prepaid Vodafone Mobile Internet Users can access 5G services using the following 5G devices provided that their software updates are up-to-date. This list of devices will be updated as soon as device manufacturers release new 5G-ready software updates.

  • Auto-renewal: Vodafone Giga5G Mobile Data plans subscribed from *555# and *181# are set to auto-renew after their expiry period. To un-subscribe from the 5G data plans, dial *555# or *181#, select the plan you are subscribed to and select Option 2 to "Un-subscribe".
  • Data rollover: Remaining data will rollover upon auto-renewal or re-subscription of any rollover Data Plan before expiry. The remaining data will roll over to the furthest data plan expiry.
  • Exclusions: Rollover and Auto-renewal do not apply to Vodafone Mobile Data Gift Plans.
  • 5G requirements: To use Vodafone Prepaid 5G Mobile Internet Services, you must have a 5G-capable smartphone updated with a special 5G software update, be in a 5G coverage area, have a 5G-enabled data plan, and ensure that the network mode on your device is set to 5G. Note: Power Saving features may restrict your phone from accessing 5G in order to conserve battery power. Disable Power Saver Mode to access 5G. Customers using a 4G smartphone or a 5G smartphone that has not received a special 5G software update from their device manufacturer, or live outside a 5G coverage area can purchase and use Giga5G data plans at 3G/4G speeds.
    • Special 5G software update: Some 5G smartphones are not 5G-Ready yet as they need a special software update to connect to 5G. These updates are released by smartphone manufacturers. Manufacturers are working to release these updates as quickly as possible. After manufacturers have released a special 5G software update patch, customers will be notified by SMS to update their software.
    • Validity: Promotion is valid until further notice.


    15. Will all 4G devices work on Vodafone Fiji’s network?

    All 4G devices purchased directly from Vodafone outlets will work, as the firmware on these devices have been upgraded to support 4G services. For 4G devices sourced from other carriers or countries, there are no guarantees that these will work on the Vodafone Fiji 4G network and Vodafone will not take responsibility for any such devices. However, our technicians will be able to check and confirm and where possible assist with firmware upgrades to enable these devices to work on Vodafone's 4G Network. 

    16. What Settings/Access Point Name is required in order to have 4G Data services on the supported devices?

    To enable 4G data services, we will be using the same Access Point Name (APN);
    Postpay - vfinternet.fj                                                                                                                                                                                                         
    Prepay Broadband - prepay.vfinternet.fj                                                                                                                                                          
    Prepay Mobile Internet - live.vodafone.com.fj

    VodaSTAR - Terms & Conditions

    • Vodafone launched its customer loyalty and reward scheme called VodaSTAR on 27th February 2009.
    • With VodaSTAR all prepay customers who are registered and have been on the Vodafone Network for minimum of 2 years and recharge a minimum of $5 monthly go into the VodaSTAR loyalty scheme automatically.
    • The evaluation criteria shown in the table above will be applied for the determination of quantum of VodaSTAR loyalty rewards customers may receive.
    • The customers are rated every three months and assigned a STAR rating.
    • The number of stars determines the value of reward that a customer gets. 
    • The two variables used to determine customers’ star rating are:
      • Tenure     - the length of  time customer has been on Vodafone Network ( minimum 2 Years)
      • Recharge - the amount of recharge per month (minimum $5)
    • The customers receive their reward in the form of free talktime directly on their mobile on the first Sunday of every month.
    • VodaSTAR rewards is a loyalty and rewards scheme based on criteria solely at Vodafone’s discretion.

    TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

    • To access roaming services on an overseas network, your mobile device must be compatible with the network technology offered in the country of roaming.  Eg.  To access, roaming services on your 2G device, the country of roaming must provide 2G network
    • Bundle offer is only applicable to postpaid subscribers with roaming access (Voice and Data).
    • All the Price plans are inclusive of VAT, unless specified.
    • Bundle Plans are not active by default when you reach another country. To opt in the plan, dial *100# and select your desired Plan.
    • User can switch to another plan during the day
    • Whilst on the bundle plan, calls to any International country except Fiji is charged at pay as you go rate.
    • Minutes can be used to make calls back to Fiji, within roaming country and receiving calls.
    • Minutes will be deducted on per minute basis. If you make a 45 seconds call, your bundled minute will decrease by 1 minute.
    • SMS can be used to send SMS anywhere. Receiving SMS is Free.
    • SMS is deducted in decrements of 1.
    • Data can be used in the roaming country only.
    • The roaming bundle auto renews every day at 12.00am Fiji time while you are roaming.
    • Outside bundle rates apply once the bundle is exhausted
    • Standard roaming rates apply when plan is not active. Standard roaming rates apply for countries not listed in the bundle plan.
    • To opt out, dial *100# and select deactivate.
    • Plan Benefits remain active if user travels from 1 country to another country listed in the bundle plan.
    • Plan Benefits expire if user travels to another country not listed in the Bundle plan.
    • Vodafone reserves the right to steer traffic to certain network operators based on commercial agreements in place.
    • You agree that all charges incurred while roaming will be charged to your monthly bill. You agree to pay all charges in full when they are due. (There may be delays in Vodafone receiving notice from external carriers of charges to be billed to you. This does not affect Vodafone's right to charge you or receive payment from you)

    1. Application of terms and conditions

    1.1 In these terms and conditions, reference to "we" and "us" means Vodafone Fiji Limited, and "our" has a corresponding meaning.

    1.2 "You" means you our customer under these terms and conditions and "your" has a corresponding meaning.

    2. Purchasing Products from the Vodafone Retail/Roadshow

    2.1 To make a purchase from the Vodafone Retail/Roadshow on your own behalf:

    a. You must be 18 years of age or over, or if you are under 18 years of age, you must have your parent or guardian's consent to make the purchase and enter into the terms and conditions applying to the purchase;
    b. You must be either purchasing on your own behalf or authorized to purchase on behalf of another person;
    c. You must be buying for your own use and not for resale.

    2.2 If you are purchasing on behalf of a company, association, partnership or other such entity ("Entity"):

    a. you must be authorized to agree to these terms and conditions on behalf of the Entity;
    b. you must be authorized by the Entity to make the purchase;
    c. you must be authorized to use the Entity's credit card used to make the purchase; and
    d. references in these terms and conditions to "you" include the Entity (as defined above).

    2.3 By purchasing from the Vodafone Retail/Roadshow, you warrant that you meet the relevant conditions set out in clauses 2.1 and 2.2 above.

    2.4 All handsets are sold exclusively for use on and may be locked to the Vodafone network. Locked handsets may not be used with another telecommunications service provider's SIM card. If your handset is locked to the Vodafone network, you must only arrange to unlock it through authorized service centers and may have to pay an unlocking fee. If you arrange to unlock your handset through someone other than authorized service centers, this may void the warranty for your handset.

    3. Liability and warranties

    Warranty is 1 year for handsets and 3 months for accessories. Warranty will be deemed void in the event of unauthorized unlocking of software, hardware, and unauthorized software upgrade, liquid & physical damage.

    4. Returns

    If you wish to return a Product to us, then you must come to a nearest Vodafone Retail Outlet within 14 business days of receiving the Product to arrange for it to be returned with advance of purchase. Normal Retail return policy applies here after. Product will only be replaced if found to have a manufacturers fault.

    All Products you wish to return to us remain at your risk until they are delivered to Vodafone or Vodafone's agent.

    5. Privacy

    We will comply with our Privacy Policy (displayed separately on our website) and you accept this policy as governing our use of the personal information we receive about you as an individual.

    7. General

    7.1 We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time by publishing the changed terms on the Vodafone website.

    7.2 If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions shall, to the maximum extent possible, remain in full force and effect.

    7.3 We shall not be liable to you for any delay or non-performance of our contractual obligations to the extent that such delay or non-performance is caused by an event or circumstance which is outside our reasonable control.

    7.4 You shall be solely responsible for obtaining any necessary permits under (and for compliance with) all legislation, regulations, by-laws and rules that apply to the use of any Products you purchase from us.

    7.5 These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Fiji Islands and the courts of Fiji Islands shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction to hear and determine any dispute arising in relation to these terms and conditions.

    Voicemail setup

    Initially all customers will have to setup their security PIN for the Voicemail.

    Simply call 121 from your Vodafone mobile, and follow the voice prompts.

    "Please enter your current pin Code"
    Your default pin is 1234, just enter your default pin.
    "Please enter the new PIN Code"
    Enter a pin of your choice
    "Please re-enter the new PIN Code"
    Re-enter the pin of you choice to confirm pin setup.
    Once your Security PIN Code has been activated every time you dial 121, you'll have to enter your security PIN.

    Retrieving new voicemail messages

    You will be notified via a TXT message when you get a missed call or when someone leaves you a message.

    To check your voicemail messages just dial 121 and follow the voice prompts.

    "Please enter your current pin Code."
    Enter your pin.
    If you have no messages then you'll get the following prompt.
    "You have no messages or missed calls."
    If you do have messages then it will be played one at a time.
    "You have [number of messages] new messages"
    "This message from mailbox [mobile number] was left at [time] on [date]"
    This is followed by the actual voice message. After each message is played the following options are provided.
    "To replay the message press 2"
    "To delete this message press 3"
    "To save this message for an extended period of time press 6"
    Once all messages has been checked you'll get a reply saying there are no more messages.

    Command mode

    Command mode takes you to a list of menu functions related to your mailbox setup.

    To enter command mode press *, and follow the voice prompts.

    "Please enter your current pin code."
    Enter your pin.

    "Command mode."
    "To obtain help press 1."
    Provides information about certain command modes.

    "To retrieve your messages and Missed Calls press 2."

    Enables you to listen/replay/delete/reply/save all voice messages and missed calls.
    "To select mailbox details mode press 3."

    Enables you to activate/deactivate PIN Code requests and optional details

    "To record a message press 4"
    "To distribute a message press 5"
    "To change your PIN press 6"
    "To change your personal greeting press 7"

    Enables you to setup a personalised greeting for incoming callers instead of pre-recorded operator message.

    "To change your message of notification press 8"
    Enables option to activate or deactivate getting notifications of receiving voice messages.

    Personalise voicemail greeting

    To personalise your voicemail greeting just dial 121 then go to command mode, and follow the voice prompts.

    "To enter greetings mode press 7."
    "To record a personal greeting press 4."
    "To end recording press 0 and to start recording press 0."
    Once a new message is recorded you can choose to keep it or discard it.
    "To replay the new greeting press 2."
    "To cancel the new greeting press 3."
    "To erase and re-record a new greeting press 7."
    "To deposit the new greeting press 8."
    To return to command menu press *

    Retrieving all voice messages

    To retrieve all your voice messages just dial 121 then go to command mode, and follow the voice prompts.

    "To enter the voicemail retrieval mode press 2."

    "To replay/play all messages press 2 again."
    Messages will be played one at a time, the most recent ones first.

    "To delete the message press 3."
    Some of the special functions you can perform while listening to the voice messages are:
    "To skip forward 5 seconds press 4."
    "To skip backwards 5 seconds press 5."
    "To save this message and step on to the next press 6."
    "To play the previous message press 7."
    "To know when the message was left press 8."
    "To pause or continue press 0."
    "To replay the message press 92."
    "To phone the caller press press 95."
    "To copy the message to another subscriber press 93."

    You can send a voice mail to another subscriber at a time of your choice.
    "To copy the message to distribution list press 94."
    "To return to command mode press #."

    To deactivate PIN Code request

    You can deactivate the PIN Code request feature of your mailbox. Just dial 121 then go to command mode, and follow the voice prompts.

    "Press 3 to enter mailbox details mode."
    "To disable PIN code protection press 4."
    No security PIN will be requested in the future.

    New Voicemail Retrieval Procedure for Telstra Australia

    Subscribers needs their Message bank set up by the service provider.
    If it is set up then to retrieve voicemails they need to send an SMS to 101
    101 will call back and once answered, roamer to follow instructions to retrieve voicemails.
    Note: every roamer should have a personalised PIN in order to access their voicemails.
