  • Auto-renewal: Vodafone Giga5G Mobile Data plans subscribed from *555# and *181# are set to auto-renew after their expiry period. To un-subscribe from the 5G data plans, dial *555# or *181#, select the plan you are subscribed to and select Option 2 to "Un-subscribe".
  • Data rollover: Remaining data will rollover upon auto-renewal or re-subscription of any rollover Data Plan before expiry. The remaining data will roll over to the furthest data plan expiry.
  • Exclusions: Rollover and Auto-renewal do not apply to Vodafone Mobile Data Gift Plans.
  • 5G requirements: To use Vodafone Prepaid 5G Mobile Internet Services, you must have a 5G-capable smartphone updated with a special 5G software update, be in a 5G coverage area, have a 5G-enabled data plan, and ensure that the network mode on your device is set to 5G. Note: Power Saving features may restrict your phone from accessing 5G in order to conserve battery power. Disable Power Saver Mode to access 5G. Customers using a 4G smartphone or a 5G smartphone that has not received a special 5G software update from their device manufacturer, or live outside a 5G coverage area can purchase and use Giga5G data plans at 3G/4G speeds.
    • Special 5G software update: Some 5G smartphones are not 5G-Ready yet as they need a special software update to connect to 5G. These updates are released by smartphone manufacturers. Manufacturers are working to release these updates as quickly as possible. After manufacturers have released a special 5G software update patch, customers will be notified by SMS to update their software.
    • Validity: Promotion is valid until further notice.

    Pay As You Go FAQ

    1. What is Pay As You Go?

      “Pay As You Go” (PAYG) is an ad hoc mobile internet service where you may use our internet services at a standard rate of $0.03/MB if you do not have data in your account balance.

      This is a great way to use the internet where no data plan subscription is required!

      PAYG is enabled by default however, you do have the option to opt-out of the service hence you will have total control in disabling and re-enabling PAYG.

    2. What is the ad hoc rate of using mobile internet without a sufficient mobile data balance?

      You will be charged $0.03 per MB for using ad hoc mobile internet services outside of data bundles.

    3. How will I know if I have used up all my data?

      You will receive a Flash SMS notification after going below a data balance threshold of 200MB. This notification will advise you that you are close to reaching your allocated data quota. At 0MB, a Flash SMS notification will advise you that you have used up your data quota and that standard charges will apply outside data bundles.

      You may monitor your data balance via the MyVodafone App or MyVodafone Website.

    4. Will I still be able to access the internet if I do not have data in my account balance?

      Yes, you may still access cheap internet instantly provided that you have sufficient purchased credit in your account balance.

      Mobile Data Plans are available on *555#, MyVodafone App, MPAiSA App and MyVodafone Website.

    5. Will I be charged from my purchased credit if I access the internet after my data gets used up?

      Yes. If you do not have data in your account balance and continue to use general internet services ad hoc then you will be charged from your purchased credit at $0.03 per MB of ad hoc mobile internet data usage.

    6. How can I use Vodafone Internet Services without incurring PAYG ad hoc mobile data charges?

      You may subscribe to a mobile data plan to continue using mobile data services without incurring ad hoc mobile data charges.

      Mobile Data Plans are available on *555#, MyVodafone App, MPAiSA App and MyVodafone Website.

      You also have the option to opt-out and disable Pay As Yo Go.

    7. How can I opt-out from PAYG and disable using ad hoc mobile internet?

      You may dial *555# and select the option “Pay As You Go” and follow the prompts to disable PAYG. A SMS notification will be sent to confirm that PAYG has been disabled.

      If you have opted out of the PAYG service and you do not have any data balance, then you will not be able to access any general internet services except for eligible zero-rated internet services such as the Vodafone Website, MPAiSA App and MyVodafone App.

    8. How can I opt-in to PAYG and re-enable using ad hoc mobile internet?
    9. You may dial *555#, select the option “Pay As You Go” and follow the prompts to re-enable PAYG. A SMS notification will be sent to confirm that PAYG has been enabled.

      You may now use mobile internet at just 3c/MB without subscribing to a data plan.

    Super Weekly: $8 for 20GB

    • Dial *555# or *181# to subscribe to the Super Weekly Data Plan for only $8 and enjoy 20GB Data which is set to expire in 7 days.
    • This plan will not be on auto-renewal.
    • Only normal money can be used to subscribe to a Super Weekly Data Plan.
    • Data plan expiry period is not extended upon the re-subscription of another Super Weekly Data plan from time of purchase.
    • Super Weekly Data bundle can be purchased multiple times in a week and there is no limit to how many times you can purchase data using the Super Weekly Data bundle in a given week.
    • Applicable to 2G, 3G, 4G and 4G+ Mobile Internet enabled handsets.
    • Remaining data will not rollover upon auto-renewal or subscription of Super Weekly Data Plan before existing plan expiry. Remaining data will not roll over to furthest data plan expiry.
    • Available to Prepaid Vodafone customers ONLY.

    IPVPN/DI/WAN Link Equipment

    Below is the checklist to ensure CPEs are safe during the disaster and your business is connected quickly after the emergency:

    Outdoor Antenna

    • Ensure the two nuts behind the antenna are fastened securely.
    • The shown mounting pole is seen to be fasten using 4 screws. The cable is tied to the mounting pole with the use of cable ties.

    For your emergency kit

    • Many mobile phones have built-in FM radios - these usually require a wired headset to function (It acts as the radio antenna). As FM radio can be extremely useful for urgent emergency communications, you may wish to keep a spare headset packed in with other emergency supplies.
    • Consider picking up an external battery pack with a USB charging port on it - these can hold their charge for a long time and can be very helpful - especially if friends or relatives have phones running on an empty tank.

     

    Mobile Device and Computers

    Surge protectors are a great idea to protect sensitive home electronics like computers and broadband modems in the event of lightning strikes or major power surges.

    Network congested? Text, don't call

    In an unprecedent scenario/emergency, we recommend texting instead of calling wherever possible, and turning your smartphone's data connection off if not needed. During emergencies, there is heavy demand on resources and some cell sites may get congested or operate on backup battery power (in case of grid failure). Please consider the communication needs of others in addition to your own.

    Lost power? Extend your phone battery life

    In the case of an emergency with no grid/mains power, more extreme measures may be required.

    • Turn off all features that are non-essential, like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
    • Lower your screen brightness and enable power saving mode if your phone supports it.
    • Turn off mobile data if not needed. This prevents social media apps routinely checking in (and using power).
    • Avoid turning your phone off and on frequently, because that can use more power - if you don't need your phone for a few hours, consider using Airplane mode.
    • If your phone supports it, switching to 2G-only can conserve battery life.
