Pay As You Go FAQ

  1. What is Pay As You Go?

    “Pay As You Go” (PAYG) is an ad hoc mobile internet service where you may use our internet services at a standard rate of $0.01/MB if you do not have data in your account balance.

    This is a great way to use the internet where no data plan subscription is required!

    PAYG is enabled by default however, you do have the option to opt-out of the service hence you will have total control in disabling and re-enabling PAYG.

  2. What is the ad hoc rate of using mobile internet without a sufficient mobile data balance?

    You will be charged $0.01 per MB for using ad hoc mobile internet services outside of data bundles.

  3. How will I know if I have used up all my data?

    You will receive a Flash SMS notification after going below a data balance threshold of 200MB. This notification will advise you that you are close to reaching your allocated data quota. At 0MB, a Flash SMS notification will advise you that you have used up your data quota and that standard charges will apply outside data bundles.

    You may monitor your data balance via the MyVodafone App or MyVodafone Website.

  4. Will I still be able to access the internet if I do not have data in my account balance?

    Yes, you may still access cheap internet instantly provided that you have sufficient purchased credit in your account balance.

    Mobile Data Plans are available on *555#, MyVodafone App, MPAiSA App and MyVodafone Website.

  5. Will I be charged from my purchased credit if I access the internet after my data gets used up?

    Yes. If you do not have data in your account balance and continue to use general internet services ad hoc then you will be charged from your purchased credit at $0.01 per MB of ad hoc mobile internet data usage.

  6. How can I use Vodafone Internet Services without incurring PAYG ad hoc mobile data charges?

    You may subscribe to a mobile data plan to continue using mobile data services without incurring ad hoc mobile data charges.

    Mobile Data Plans are available on *555#, MyVodafone App, MPAiSA App and MyVodafone Website.

    You also have the option to opt-out and disable Pay As Yo Go.

  7. How can I opt-out from PAYG and disable using ad hoc mobile internet?

    You may dial *555# and select the option “Pay As You Go” and follow the prompts to disable PAYG. A SMS notification will be sent to confirm that PAYG has been disabled.

    If you have opted out of the PAYG service and you do not have any data balance, then you will not be able to access any general internet services except for eligible zero-rated internet services such as the Vodafone Website, MPAiSA App and MyVodafone App.

  8. How can I opt-in to PAYG and re-enable using ad hoc mobile internet?
  9. You may dial *555#, select the option “Pay As You Go” and follow the prompts to re-enable PAYG. A SMS notification will be sent to confirm that PAYG has been enabled.

    You may now use mobile internet at just 1c/MB without subscribing to a data plan.

     

Pay As You Go T&C

  1. “Pay As You Go” is a mobile internet service where you may use the internet ad hoc at a standard rate of $0.01/MB.
  2. “Pay As You Go” service is enabled by default and will apply outside data bundle usages effective 5th March, 2021.
  3. If you do not have any data balance, you will be charged $0.01 per MB for using ad hoc mobile data services.
  4. Ad hoc mobile internet usages will incur deductions from purchased credit.
  5. To disable (or re-enable) “Pay As You Go, you may dial *555# and select the option “Pay As You Go”.
  6. If “Pay As You Go” is disabled and you have no data balance, then you will not be able to access any internet services except for eligible zero-rated sites such as the Vodafone Website, MPAiSA App, MyVodafone App etc.
  7. Promotion valid until further notice.
  8. Mobile Data Plans are available on *555#, MyVodafone App, MPAiSA App and MyVodafone Website.
  9. Available to Prepay Vodafone customers only.
