Vodafone Fiji will continue to back grass-root level sports in the country, said Vodafone’s Manager Sponsorship Adriu Vakarau.

Mr Vakarau reaffirmed the partnership with the renowned Marist 7s tournament at the announcement made earlier today at the Vodafone outlet in Damodar City Complex.

“The 43rd tournament on its own is a testament of our rugby loving country. The tournament has come a long way in their part for developing rugby in the country.

As we know the tournaments over the years have proven to deliver a great mix of players that have taken Fijian rugby to great pedestals”.

Vodafone is on board the spectacular tournament as communications partners, providing smartphones, recharge cards, WiFi’s and internet connectivity for the six stations on the ground and officials as well.

Marist Club President, Mr. Lawrence Tikaram also present at the announcement acknowledged Vodafone’s timely sponsorship as the tournament closes in.

“We carry the same passion and foresight for Rugby as Vodafone Fiji. We thank our sponsors for bringing the tournament this far”, said Tikaram.

Giving back to the Vanua is always been at the heart of our operation over the 25 years; we are once again proudly backing Fiji’s biggest and oldest rugby tournament once again. We are optimistic that this year will deliver another great magnitude of a tournament, said Vakarau whilst handing over the sponsored devices to the Marist Rugby Committee.
