Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA), with major sponsor Vodafone, handed $50,000 of sponsorship to Lautoka and Ba Football Clubs today.

Lautoka FC and Ba FC has once again qualified for the OFC Champions League 2019.

While handing over the sponsorship cheque, Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel announced for a sponsorship top-up for the teams progressing to the quarter-finals and further knockout stages.

“It’s a great moment every year that we present the sponsorship cheques to the two qualified teams representing Fiji at the OFC Champions League,” Patel said.

“As you qualify for the second round, which is the knockout stages, there will be more bonus coming to the teams.

“This is the initial money for the group stages, and as you progress, we will top up your sponsorship.”
Patel wished both Lautoka and Ba all the best.

Vodafone Fiji head of enterprise development Antonio Kitione congratulated Lautoka and Ba for reaching the OFC Champions League.

“On behalf of Vodafone Fiji, I wish you all the best as the two teams will go on to fly the Fiji flag at the Oceania level.

“The support of the entire nation, the family of Vodafone and Fiji Football Association is behind you,” Kitione said.

Lautoka Football Association president Abdul Kadar and Ba Football Association president Rishi Kumar thanked both Vodafone and Fiji FA for the support and providing the added boost.
