  • Auto-renewal: Vodafone Giga5G Mobile Data plans subscribed from *555# and *181# are set to auto-renew after their expiry period. To un-subscribe from the 5G data plans, dial *555# or *181#, select the plan you are subscribed to and select Option 2 to "Un-subscribe".
  • Data rollover: Remaining data will rollover upon auto-renewal or re-subscription of any rollover Data Plan before expiry. The remaining data will roll over to the furthest data plan expiry.
  • Exclusions: Rollover and Auto-renewal do not apply to Vodafone Mobile Data Gift Plans.
  • 5G requirements: To use Vodafone Prepaid 5G Mobile Internet Services, you must have a 5G-capable smartphone updated with a special 5G software update, be in a 5G coverage area, have a 5G-enabled data plan, and ensure that the network mode on your device is set to 5G. Note: Power Saving features may restrict your phone from accessing 5G in order to conserve battery power. Disable Power Saver Mode to access 5G. Customers using a 4G smartphone or a 5G smartphone that has not received a special 5G software update from their device manufacturer, or live outside a 5G coverage area can purchase and use Giga5G data plans at 3G/4G speeds.
    • Special 5G software update: Some 5G smartphones are not 5G-Ready yet as they need a special software update to connect to 5G. These updates are released by smartphone manufacturers. Manufacturers are working to release these updates as quickly as possible. After manufacturers have released a special 5G software update patch, customers will be notified by SMS to update their software.
    • Validity: Promotion is valid until further notice.


    What are the Terms & Conditions of use for the eTransport Card?

     

    By using an eTransport Card you agree to the following key conditions:

     

    • Card Ownership & Registration: The card remains Vodafone property and by using it you agree to follow all rules. It must be registered in your name, is non-transferable, and third-party use or upgrades are prohibited.

       

    • Balance Storage & Refunds: The balance is stored offline on the card itself. Vodafone cannot block, track, or refund balances on lost or stolen cards except for Student Blue Card cases where a valid police report and an official Head of School letter are required.

       

    • Fees & Upgrades: The first card and first replacement are free. A $3 fee applies to each additional card, upgrade (if you have three or more old cards), or replacement (beyond your first free one). Free upgrades require you to present your old card so we can transfer its balance to the new one.

       

    • Validity & Expiry: eTransport cards do not expire unless an upgrade is mandated by technology or system requirements.

       

    • Card Durability & Replacement: If your card is damaged, the standard replacement policy applies (first replacement free and $3 thereafter). If your card malfunctions through no fault of your own within three months of issue and shows no physical damage, Vodafone will provide a free replacement. In all cases, you must bring the old card so we can transfer its balance to the new one.

       

    • Privacy & Data: The last three transactions are stored offline on your card, and up to one month of transaction and top-up history can be viewed in the eTransport app for your new eTransport Card. Personal data is used only to deliver this service, and is protected under Vodafone’s Privacy Policy.

       

    • Liability: Vodafone is not liable for any losses due to lost, stolen, or damaged cards. eTransport wallet top-ups or payments made via third-party wallets (e.g., Banks or MyCash) are governed by those providers’ terms.

       

    • Dispute Resolution: Any disputes are governed by Fijian law. Unresolved issues may be escalated to Vodafone Fiji eTransport Customer Care toll free line 151 or contact us via eticketing@vodafone.com.fj

     

     

     


     

    Are there any additional fees?

     

    Apart from the $3 replacement fee for the third and subsequent eCards, there are no additional fees for using the app or its features.

    MPAiSA Mastercard Promotion T&Cs

    All purchases made using a Vodafone Fiji issued Mastercard card for an online or in-store transaction globally will be considered to be an eligible entry for the promotion. ATM transactions will not be considered. All Vodafone Fiji customers who are residents of Fiji are eligible for this promotion and will need to be over 18 years of age. Vodafone Fiji staff and their families are excluded from the promotion. 

    Eligible transactions must be completed between 12:00 AM on May 5th, 2025 and 11:59 PM (Fijian Time) on June 30th, 2025 (“Campaign End Date”).

    Is 5G cost-efficient to deliver?

    5G is more than ten times more cost-efficient than 4G in radio cost of delivery.

     

    How fast is 5G?

    5G can reach speeds of up to 10 times faster than 4G. 5G works best at average speeds of 150-200Mbps, and peak speeds can reach above 1Gbps.

    By comparison, 4G works at average speeds of 23-35Mbps.

    For example, a full HD film could be downloaded in less than 3 minutes on a 5G network, as opposed to around 15 on a 4G network.

    5G speeds can vary and depend on multiple factors.

    5G has significantly lower latency of <20 milliseconds (ms) for some consumer applications (e.g. gaming or augmented reality) and <5ms for ultra-low latency applications (e.g. in smart factories).

    5G device support

    5G is expected to support up to 1 million connected devices per 1 square kilometre, compared to around 2,000 connected devices per 1 square kilometre with 4G.1 This will be vital for the Internet of Things era, where lots of additional devices like cars and commercial drones will eventually be connected to mobile networks.

    5G coverage and reliability

    Vodafone is taking the largest international 4G network and putting it on 5G. Network slicing on 5G will enable it to be reliably deployed to specific critical applications such as cars, emergency vehicles, factories and hospitals.

    Where can I get 5G?

    Accessing 5G as a consumer or business requires a 5G device with a 5G plan in an area that is covered by a Vodafone 5G network.

    Vodafone currently offers commercial 5G services in 12 countries and will continue to expand that offering. At the same time, our 4G networks are being upgraded with technology that is bringing our customers some of the benefits of 5G sooner.
