Can I top up my eCard through the eTransport app?

Yes. The app currently supports top-ups through M-PAiSA only. Tap “Topup Card” and follow the prompts to redeem the balance onto the card. You can top-up and redeem multiple cards, including those of your family members if your smartphone supports NFC.

Is there any other way to top up the eTransport wallet using the app?

Currently, M-PAiSA is the only direct payment option available in the app. However, customers can still transfer money from any bank account (BSP, Westpac, ANZ, Bred, HFC, Baroda) or from MyCash into their M-PAiSA wallet, and then use that M-PAiSA balance to top-up their eTransport Wallet via the app. Direct integration of other payment options is in progress and will be available soon.

Where is my eTransport card balance stored and how does it work?

Your balance is stored directly on the card itself and operates on an offline mode. It is not held on Vodafone's network or systems.

Why is the balance stored on the card on an offline mode?

This allows for real-time fare deductions and balance updates on buses, even in areas without network connectivity.

What should I do if I lose my eCard?

If you lose your card, visit your nearest Vodafone outlet to request a replacement.

What happens if I lose my card? Can I recover my balance if my card is lost?

Unfortunately, balances on lost cards cannot be recovered, just like losing physical cash. We cannot block, track, remotely recover or transfer its funds since eTransport cards operate offline. This policy applies to Red, Yellow, Purple and Green eTransport cards where the balance cannot be transferred or refunded under any circumstance.

An exception applies for Blue Card users (students). In such cases, students can request a balance transfer to a new card. To do so, students must first obtain a police report for the lost card, get an official letter from their Head of School on school’s letterhead (signed and stamped), and present these documents at any Vodafone or Valuefone outlet to proceed with the transfer request. For all other card types, please note that lost card balances are not refundable.

Why can’t Vodafone recover or block my lost card balance?

Because, the balance is stored directly on the card itself which is offline, not on our network or system. If the card is lost, the funds are lost too, just like losing a wallet with cash. Vodafone cannot access, verify, block, track, or recover that balance.

What happens if someone finds my lost card? Can they use it?

Yes, if someone finds your card, they can use the remaining balance, similar to finding cash in a wallet.

Who gets the money if someone else finds and uses my lost card?

If someone uses your lost card to pay a fare, the money goes to the bus company, not Vodafone. If the card is never used again, the balance remains on the card and cannot be recovered.

Why did Vodafone refund customers in the past for lost card balances?

Vodafone has previously processed such refunds at our own expense, even though we could not access or verify the card’s balance. This was done to help customers, but it’s not financially sustainable to continue.

Is Vodafone recovering or keeping the balance from lost cards?

No. Vodafone does not receive or control the funds stored on a lost card. Any suggestion that Vodafone recover or takes the money from lost cards is misinformation.

What should I do to protect my card or avoid losing my balance?

Treat your eTransport card like cash, avoid sharing it and take precautions to keep it safe, just as you would with your bank cards.

How do I check my recent trips or spending?

Go to the “History” tab in the app to view recent travel activity and fare deductions. Tap on 'Wallet History' to switch to card history, which contains card payments.

Can I manage multiple cards in the app?

Yes. You can add and switch between multiple eCards, useful for families or managing cards for others.

Does the app work without internet?

Some features work offline, including reading the balance and transactions directly off the card. However, an internet connection is required for real-time updates, viewing transactions, and topping up.

Disclaimer: On the My Cards page, the balance shown may not be in real-time and could reflect previous balances. To see the current balance, it is best to read the balance directly off the card by using the “Check Balance” button.

Are there any options to redeem my card balance if I don't have an Android smartphone or NFC?

Yes. You can visit any Vodafone outlet or e-ticketing top-up agent to check your balance, top-up, or redeem your eCard. If you have the new card, you can also redeem your balance at bus terminals. Alternatively, you can ask a family member or friend with an NFC-enabled smartphone to tap and redeem the balance for you.

If I am an iPhone user?

The app will be available for iOS soon. In the meantime, card balances can be managed from Vodafone stores, e-ticketing agents, and also redeemed on buses (this feature is only available for new cards).

Do I need to sign up?

Yes, there is a one-time sign-up required to use the app.

Will I be able to see my transactions up to a month?

Yes, the app allows you to view your transactions for up to one month.

    What payment methods are there?

You can top up your eTransport wallet through M-PAiSA, and then use the wallet funds to top up your eCard.
