  3. Period of the Promotion

  4. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
    • By participating in the Promotion, all participants are deemed to have read, understood and agreed with these Terms and Conditions, which are also available for public view at
    • Vodafone reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted online at
    • In the event of dispute regarding the Terms and Conditions, conduct, results, and all other matters relating to the Promotion, the decision of Vodafone shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into unless otherwise required under the Gaming Decree 2009 or other applicable law.
  5. Participants of the Promotion
    1. Participants must be the registered customers of the Vodafone mobile number (registration is required under the Compulsory Registration of Customers for Telephone Services Decree 2010) which is utilised for the purpose of participation in the Promotion.
    2. Employees of Vodafone Fiji Ltd and spouse and children of employees are not eligible to and thus should NOT participate in the Promotion.
    3. Subscribers under the age of 18 year should NOT participate in the Promotion and if they do, such participation will NOT render a refund of monies by Vodafone, spent by said under-age subscribers on the Promotion nor will Vodafone be obliged to release the prize money to such persons.
    4. Vodafone reserves the right to disqualify any participant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the participant has breached any provision of the Terms and Conditions.
    5. By participating in the Promotion, participants hereby warrant that all information submitted is true, current and complete.
  6. Availability and accessibility of information
    • All information for the participants of the Promotion with regards to the Promotion shall be published on as well as be available by calling the Vodafone Customer Service on 123
    • Information about the number of points (participations/chances) scored by the participants during the Promotion will be sent to the participants in SMS messages automatically. 
    • Any information regarding the Promotion, including its end date will be published on the Vodafone website (
    • Interruption or early termination of the Promotion shall not release Vodafone from its obligation to give out already determined prizes and execute all other actions required except for the cases when termination or interruption of the Promotion was called by actions or events which are beyond Vodafone’s control.
    • Vodafone shall not release personal information about participants of the Promotion to third parties unless required to do so by law or in order to comply with applicable governing law.
    • Vodafone reserves the right not to enter into written negotiations or otherwise make contact with the participants of the Promotion other than in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, unless required to do so by law.
  7. Regulations of participation in the Promotion:
    • To participate in the Promotion, a Vodafone customer must send their choice of any six numbers from 1-36 accessible through *888# menu on ussd
    • After the 6 numbers are entered, system will display all six numbers for participants to review and confirm before electronic ticket is generated via SMS and ticket purchase amount deducted
    • Repeat numbers in the entry are not allowed
    • Multiple entries are possible with different combination
    • Characters other than the numbers are not allowed and renders an entry invalid
    • Participants will receive a SMS reply confirming their numbers upon valid entry submission
    • Participants will be charged $1.50 for each SMS entry
    • Participants will get a SMS entry # from a sequence of numbers to ensure there is no spoofing, to ensure genuine entries
  8. Place, date, time and order of the prizes
    1. Each unique participant to the Promotion is identified by the subscriber number (MSISDN).
    2. The formation of each participant’s record for the whole period of the Promotion will start at 00:00:00 on the first day of the Promotion and end at 23:59:59 on the last day of the Promotion.
    3. Draws for the $100000- 1st $30000-2nd prize will be conducted live on TV with the use of air lottery machine at the end of the Promotion
    4. Grand Prize winning mechanism:
      1. On the last day of the Promotion, one (1) “final draw” will take place
      2. The draw will determine one (2) winners for 1st and 2nd Prize
      3. All participants who have sent at least 1 SMS from the start of the Promotion up to 23:59:59 of the last day of the Promotion are eligible to enter the grand prize draw.

  9. Terms of the prizes
    1. All winners will be contacted by Vodafone via phone call to their MSISDN number used to participate in the promotion and winning number shown live on television, but NEVER via SMS.
    2. All winners if able to be contacted will receive notice within three (3) working days from the date of the draw. 
    3. All prizes will be awarded within twenty eight (28) calendar days from the day the winner is contacted.
    4. Winners will be personally liable for payment of due taxes and other costs incurred for collection of the prize.
    5. Winners must confirm in writing that they are the registered owner of the MSISDN number, that they are entitled to the prize, produce necessary identification and complete all the necessary documents required by Vodafone or provide such other information as requested before the prize will be awarded.
    6. Prizes are personal to the winner, however may be received by a representative of the winner, properly authorized under law. The following documents shall be accepted for identification: ID Card, Driver’s License and/ or Passport.
    7. By participating in the Promotion, winners agree that any of their data, including names, surnames, initials, photos and video images, can be used by Vodafone for advertising purposes with their prior consent and free of charge.
    8. If a winner cannot be contacted within thirty (30) calendar days from the draw date, then the prize money will be allocated to an “Unclaimed Monies” fund but kept only for a specific period as required by law. 
    9. If a winner who has been notified of the win, refuses the prize or fails to collect it within thirty (30) calendar days of notification, then, it will be deemed that the right to the prize has been forfeited, and the prize will remain the property of Vodafone. 
    10. Decisions made by Vodafone will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    11. Prizes are not transferable and will only be awarded to the favor of the actual participant.
  10. Exclusion of liability
    1. Vodafone accepts no responsibility whatsoever for, including without limitation, any error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure in its mobile network. 
    2. Vodafone reserves the right to whenever is deemed necessary temporarily suspend the Promotion for operational reasons (e.g. for repairs, planned maintenance or upgrades). Vodafone promises to restore the Promotion as soon as possible after any temporary suspension period.
    3. Participants agree that the prize money will be awarded by Vodafone Fiji Ltd to the person or entity/organization in whose name the MSISDN number used for participation in the Promotion is registered to (under the Compulsory Registration of Customers for Telephone Services Decree 2010). Such benefitting party may not actually be the person who actively participated in the Promotion, notwithstanding, Vodafone excludes all liability for claims arising thereof.
  11. Disclaimer of warranties
    1. Participants understand and agree that they participate in the Promotion at their own risk and willingness and have not been coerced in any manner to enter the Promotion.
    3. Vodafone makes no warranty, implied or express, that any part of the Promotion will be uninterrupted and error-free.
    5. Neither Vodafone nor any of its directors, employees, agents or suppliers shall accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any participant participating in the Promotion or as a result of accepting the prize.
    6. Vodafone is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Promotion. 
    7. By entering the Promotion, participants agree that no claim relating to such losses or injuries (including special, indirect and consequential losses) shall be asserted against Vodafone, its parent companies, affiliates, directors, officers, employees or agents from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind resulting from acceptance or user of any prize, including without limitation, personal injuries, death and property damage.  
  12. Data protection and Publicity 
    1. Personal data related to voice, image, name or address and any other relevant information will be included in a filing system belonging to Vodafone as data controller, and can be used for taking part in the Promotion as well as publicity mailing, or other purposes relating to Vodafone’s services, unless otherwise indicated.
    2. Vodafone will use such data in a confidential manner and participants could exercise the rights of access, rectification, delete and objection to prior consent for sending publicity through a written communication addressed to Vodafone, via e-mail to or by contacting Customer Service on 123. 
  13. Queries/Complaints 
      • In the event of any disagreement or issue arising from participation in the Promotion, participants are invited to present their complaint or query to Vodafone and the issue will be attempted to be resolved amicably in so far as possible.
