The need for mobility equipment for a family highlighted by the media was fulfilled when the Vodafone ATH Foundation came to the rescue. 
The need was identified after Vodafone’s Foundation Director, Mr. Divik Deo stumbled across the newspaper article of the desperate plea from the Shankar family in Labasa for mobility equipment.


Mr. Chandar Kant of Tavua could not believe his luck when handed over the keys to the $94,000 worth 2016 Nissan Navara.

The 47 year Fish Seller says the win comes as an early birthday and Valentine’s Day present. Kant won the major prize in the join Vodafone and MH Text and Win Promotion.

The Vodafone Arena facility name will continue for another three years thanks to a renewed and increased lucrative Naming Rights Sponsorship deal between the Fiji Sports Council and Vodafone Fiji.

Worth $160,000 per year – the 3,300 seating capacity facility is equipped with wooden spring floors and earned its stripes as the premier sports and events indoor facility in the country having already hosted several Oceania Championships, International Qualifiers, Test matches and major national and corporate events.


Vodafone Fiji has been boosting football in the country for the past eight years.Vodafone came on sponsoring the National Premier League last year.

“Our commitmentto Fiji Football is reflected by our continued sponsorship to support the growth of the sport in the country.We have witnessed some astounding plays and historical moments that will forever remain fresh in the chronicles of Fiji Soccer last year and together with Fiji Football Association, we work to bring in more of such occasions” were the words from Sponsorship Manager AdriuVakarau.

Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation handed over cheque of $10,000 for 4 organizations namely Tokatoka Vacalea and Gaunavou Youth Clubs and Taveuni South Primary and Taveuni South Secondary school to Cakaudrove Provincial Council.

Another year is almost behind us, yet it seems like only yesterday that we celebrated the New Year.  As they say, time and tide waits for no men, it is now time to reflect on the past, take on the learningsand shift focus on the new year that is about to dawn upon us.  It is time to make new resolutions, set new goals and targets and put constrictive plans to deliver the results.
