Phone Setup

The PXT settings are found under
Messages > MMS > Settings or Options

                    And/Or Connectivity > Data Comm > Data Accounts

                    And/Or Connectivity > Wap Profiles

These settings are required on a handset regardless of what make or model of handset

Access Point or APN:      live.vodafone.com.fj

IP or Proxy Address:     010.202.002.040

Port or Proxy Port:     9201 or 8080*

Message Server Address or Homepage:     http://pxt.vodafone.net.fj/pxtsend

Authentication or Security:     Normal or Not Secure

 * Port 8080 is used only for WAP 2.0 capable phones

If there are no PXT setup guides for the phone you are attempting to setup look at a PXT guide for a similar make or model and follow the steps

When setting up phones it is recommended to delete data accounts that will not be needed.

Anything that is not Vodafone Australia should be deleted

Where to find Data Accounts

Nokia
Menu > Connectivity > Active Service Settings > Edit Active Service Settings

Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Access Points


Sony Ericsson
Menu > Connectivity > Data Comm

Menu > Connectivity > Wap Profiles

Now to start with our settings

First we check the PXT Messaging profile found under Messages

First go to Messages > Message Settings > Multimedia

            Or Messages > Multimedia/Picture > Settings

Check here for the following options.

Message Server Address : http://pxt.vodafone.net.fj/pxtsend

After this is found check in the same area for :
Data Account or Profile
WAP Account or Profile
Or Connect Using.

When you find this the phone will show you the Wap Account it would like to use.

Try to edit the account and put in the following settings

Access Point or APN:     live.vodafone.com.fj

IP or Proxy Address:     010.202.002.040

Port or Proxy Port:     9201 or 8080*

If you cant edit an account and only can choose an account then go create a new account with the settings above.

Call it something you will recognise like New PXT or GPRS PXT

Menu > Connectivity > Data Comm

Menu > Connectivity > Wap Profiles

Once this is created go back to


Messages > Message Settings > Multimedia

Select the

Data Account or Profile
WAP Account or Profile
Or Connect Using.

and choose the new Account you had just created.

Attempt to send a PXT and cross your fingers!!
