Rescue Mission - Give Back to Fiji Charity Concert

 

The Rescue Mission Community Association is presenting the greatest charity concert with Give Back to Fiji Charity Concert in partnership with various sponsors one of which is Vodafone Fiji Limited.

 Fiji artists living abroad will be performing with local artists for the people of Fiji at a 2-day event held at Vodafone Arena on 11th and 12th December at the Vodafone Arena.
 
The concert will feature international stars such as Paulini, Suzy Vulaca Kraintz ex American Idol, Dee Uluirewa (Hillsong Gospel), Vanessa Quai – Pacific Songbird, Natasha Underwood (Domo ni Carmen), MIC Singers, Ete and his choir. All for only $5 for adults and $3 for children under the age of 12yrs old. Tickets are available for sale from the Vodafone Triangle or Rescue Mission Community Association, 50 Knolly Street.
 
The objective of Give Back to Fiji Charity Concert is:

1. To raise funds for school fees for children and youths who live in squatter settlements for 2010
2. To empower young people through music and songs with key information on relevant issues that they are confronted with each day such as Sexual Reproductive Health, STIs and HIV, Relationships, Leadership and Peer Pressure.
3. To bring good Christmas cheer in the month of December.
 
Programme - Saturday 12th December 2009

* 9.00am - 3.00pm - Youth Forum and Rescue Mission Market
* 6.00pm - 7.00pm - Meet the artists
* 7.15pm - 10.00pm - Concert
* 10.00-11.00pm - Carols by candlelight
 
The Youth Forum encourages young people to attend with a registration fees of $5 per person where the local and international artists will be actively involved as advocates for the issues addressed above. This registration includes refreshments and lunch together with a ticket to the Concert at 6pm in the evening.
