FASANOC Launches Sports Personality 09

Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC) today (February 1st) announced the nominees for the 2009 Sports Personality of the Year Award and it has formally selected Vodafone Fiji Ltd to be its telecommunication partner for the 2010 and 2011 period.
 

The nominees are, Makelesi Batimala , Banuve Tabakaucoro , Iliesa Tanivula , Manueli Tulo and Niko Verekauta. Vodafone have assigned the short code 818 for Vodafone prepay and post pay customers to text in and vote for their favorite personality and have also given the opportunity  to Inkk customers to take part as well.  Each txt will cost 99 cents and those who take part in the voting will go into the draw to win a return ticket for 2 to Auckland New Zealand or share in $25,000 worth of free airtime from Vodafone.
 

To vote for their favorite Sports personality all a customer has to do is to txt the code of their nominee to 818 and the codes are; Make for Makelesi , Banz for Banuve, Tulo for Manueli, Niko for Verekauta, Tani for Tanivula

 

 

Results of the txt voting will be announced during the FASANOC Awards Night on March 6th. Speaking on behalf of Vodafone during the launch , Vodafone’s Corporate Affairs Manager, Shailendra Prasad said, ‘We’re glad to be associated with this premier event in partnership with FASANOC.  The revenue generated from the txt voting will be used to assist major projects and events planned for 2010 by FASANOC and we look forward to a fruitful and successful partnership
 

Voting for the FASANOC 2009 Sports Personality of the Year Award will end on March 1st  2010.
