Vodafone Fiji celebrates its 15th birthday this month having first launched its services in Fiji on 1st July 1994. “To mark our 15th birthday, the company will be rolling out a number of promotional deals throughout the month of July to delight our customers”, said Mr Aslam Khan, the Managing Director of Vodafone.
Last year Vodafone gave away more than $14 million dollars in free talktime, mobile phones, cars and scholarships in the single biggest promotion ever. Customers are still talking about our promotions of last year. Expectations from customers are something similar or bigger will be announced by Vodafone again this year. Let me assure our customers that we certainly have something big planned once again this year. Our customers will certainly not be disappointed”, said Mr Khan.
One of the birthday promotions unveiled yesterday gives Vodafone customers a chance to be part of a “snake and ladder” promotion. The concept based on the popular snake and ladder board game will allow customer to win cash and other prizes from a prize pool valued at $140,000. To enter this promotion, customers need to send a text stating the location of the closest Vodafone Retail Shop where they can go to play the game if selected. Once selected, the customers get three chances to roll a dice and win instant cash, 3G mobile phones and other great prizes.
Vodafone has also announced massive reduction on international call charges for the month of July. International calls to both mobiles or landline to most destinations around the world have been slashed to only 29 cents per minute. The offer is valid for both post pay and prepaid customers. The promotion dubbed with the tagline “call international and talk like a local” is an exceptional offer and is sure to keep the international lines buzzing this month.
