Fiji-born Bollywood artist, Aiysha, dubbed the Indian pop queen of the Pacific, arrives at Nadi airport tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday 22nd) on board FJ 920 ahead of her 31 Twelve performance at the Vodafone Arena on New Year's Eve where she will head a line-up of overseas DJ's and Bollywood dancers to ring in the new year. The qualified accountant, who called Samabula her first home and lived most of her life in Australia before moving to India, first performed in concert in Fiji in 2005. Vodafone offers Power to all mobile users in Blackout Areas

Vodafone is inviting all mobile phone owners in areas still without power, irrespective of network, to charge their phones free of charge at their outlets throughout the country. We realise many people are still without power and that's frustrating enough. Being unable to communicate because of flat phone batteries just adds to the stress, said Vodafone Corporate Affairs Manager, Shailendra Prasad. Vodafone Fiji has further cut call and txt charges for the month of March. Call charges for all day Sunday for prepay services are now down to just 5 cents a unit flat. There is no peak or off-peak rates. This means Vodafone customers can make on-net calls (Vodafone to Vodafone and Inkk) for just 5 cents a unit whole day Sunday for all Sundays in March. USP Announces Vodascholar Awards

Vodafone and USP yesterday (Thurday 5th) announced the names of the 15 recipients of the Voda-scholarships. Last year, Vodafone announced forty (40) scholarships worth $0.5 million dollars as part of its 14th birthday giveaways. The scholarships were designed to assist financially needy students who did really well in their seventh form or foundation studies but whose joint parental income did not exceed $20,000 per annum. Another 25 scholarships funded under the Vodascholar scheme for diploma studies at the Fiji Institute of Technology are also expected to be announced soon. Read more

Vodafone to Give $30 Million Annually in Loyalty Rewards

In another first for Fiji, Vodafone yesterday announced a customer loyalty reward scheme that will see every Vodafone prepay customers receive free talktime totalling $2.5 million dollars per month. All customers who have been on the Vodafone Network for more then 3 months and spend a minimum of $5 a month on recharge are entitled to the reward. The reward will be in form of free talktime credited to the customer's mobile every month. This is the largest customer loyalty and reward scheme ever to be announced in Fiji. Peak rates for Vodafone on-net calls have been slashed from 27 cents a unit to 15 cents a unit or just 30 cents a minute compared to 54 cents previously. This is a massive 44% rduction on peak rate.
