Vodafone Open Retail Outlet in Tavua21st November, 2008
Tavua Town now has its own mobile phone retail outlet and repair centre- thanks to Vodafone and Foneology. The shop was officially opened by the Mayor of Tavua Town, Councillor Chandar Singh.
In opening the brand new outlet, Mr Singh said, “this is welcome news for the general public of Tavua. For the first time in Tavua, mobile phone users will have the convenience to get all their mobile phone needs serviced under one roof”, he said. Residents of Tavua no longer need to travel outside of their home town to sort out their mobile phones needs.
“With the impact and importance of Mobile phones in everyday lives, it is most pleasing to note that Vodafone has seen it fit to open a fully serviced retail outlet here in Tavua. This will provide people in Tavua ready access to good quality service for all their mobile phone needs.
We are extremely thankful to Vodafone to invest in this magnificent retail outlet for the people Tavua.
“The launch of this new outlet in Tavua demonstrates Vodafone’s commitment to provide the best in mobile communications to the people of Tavua right at their door steps”, said Mr Mohammed Fayaz Vodafone Retail Manager.
The Tavua outlet will offer the same level of service that is available from any other Vodafone retail outlet throughout Fiji. This includes the latest mobile phones including after sales and mobile repair service, said Fayaz.
The Mayor thanked Vodafone for the investment in Tavua in very difficult economic environment. “This is a clear indication of Vodafone’s commitment to providing the best in mobile communications to the people of Fiji,” he said.
After sales service is an essential element to customer satisfaction. The service centre is an excellent idea because not everybody can afford to buy a new phone all the time. Foneology is an authorised Vodafone dealer and service centre. It has outlets in Suva, Nadi, and Nausori and recently opened an outlet in Ba and Rakiraki.
The new outlet in Tavua will also provide replacement batteries and chargers and other accessories.
It will also sell Vodafone SIM and recharge cards.
Vodafone is also the major sponsor of Tavua Gold Town Festival.
