Hello Tunes - The New Mobile Craze

Vodafone on Friday launched a new product into the Fiji market known as HELLO TUNES. Hello Tunes provides Vodafone mobile phone subscribers the option to replace the common, "ring ring" sound on their mobile when someone calls them with music selections or celebrity voices of their callers choice.
Different types of songs can be assigned to different caller groups. “You can have your parents crooning to oldies, your pals tapping their feet to the latest pop hit or your loved one being romanticized with the love song of their choice, said Ms Senaratne, the Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone.
“You can also set a specific song for a specific caller on a specific day for a specific mood. Or (you can) surprise a loved one with a sexy birthday greeting. There also options to assign a different song or hello tune to different caller on your address book.”
“It is going to be huge for those keen to spice up their mobiles”, says Ms Senaratne. Experience from other markets globally shows that subscribers have been really fascinated by Hello Tunes. "I certainly think that the Hello Tune service is going to be very, very popular," Ms Senaratne said. It is the next big thing for mobiles phones in Fiji.
Just to give you a hint of how popular this product can be, over 30,000 subscribers have downloaded the Hello Tunes whilst still in “test mode”. The response is overwhelming even though the product has not been officially launched until now. It has all the attributes a great new product.
Hello Tunes is one way of expressing your individuality despite being part of the larger peer group. This product defines the individuality and independence of a person. This is a new way to personalise your ringtone inside the phone as well as outside it."
The service will cost $1.98 per download with a monthly subscription fee of $0.99 per month after 30 days from the initial setup if you want to continue with those Hello Tunes.
Hello Tunes are loaded directly onto the network rather than the mobile, so there are no issues with phone compatibility. This means any tune can go with any mobile.
Through partnerships with content providers, subscribers can choose from a wide array of local and global hits from a library of in English, Fijian and Hindi songs.
The service is currently available for prepaid customers and all you to do is to dial 191 using your mobile to for a step by step guide to access the new feature.
