In the spirit of Christmas, Vodafone Fiji staff and the Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation have donated over $5600 worth of items to various charities.

Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation director, Manorama Singh, said staff had collected $622 which was used to buy clothing and accessories for children at the St Christopher and Dilkusha homes.

In addition, the two homes and the Suva Blind School, the Lautoka Old People's Home, the Father Law Home, and the Labasa Old People's Home all received $833.33 each, donated by the Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation.

The Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation is a charitable trust that acts as a donor agency for charitable social investments that the foundation believes will benefit and enable the people and communities in Fiji to have fuller lives.

There are two channels for charitable social investments from the foundation:
" For charitable projects - around health, education, the environment and sustainable development practices and the community
" For disaster relief.

Among other projects, the foundation is assisting the Fiji School of Medicine in offering 10 overseas elective scholarships. It also partners with the Save the Children Fund in funding the Mobile Playgroup Project which takes early childhood education into disadvantaged communities in Suva and Labasa as well as provides relief aid during times of natural disasters.
