Blackberry screen is frozen

I’ve set my alarm but it doesn’t go off?
I have the notification option set to beep me when new messages or emails arrive, but I’m not receiving notification.
Ensure that the volume setting of the notification option is set to low, medium or high, rather then off. If the volume is set to off, you won’t receive notification of new messages. I f you are having trouble hearing the notification you could also try increasing the number of beeps to make sure it gets your attention. Setting the notification to vibrate or beep may also help.

When you set your alarm, make sure you change t he Alarm, On/Off field to ON, when the alarm is turned on, a bell icon appears on the home screen below the date. Verify that the tune and the volume fields are set correctly; some tunes are longer than others, so if you think you may be missing the alarm, you can select a longer one.

Composing an Email
From the Home screen:
1. Scroll the trackwheel to select the Messages Icon
2. Click once to open the Messages screen
3. Click once to view the drop-down menu
4. Scroll down to Compose Email
5. Scroll down to the required contact from the list
6. Select Email and click
7. Type a subject line using the keyboard
8. Press ENTER on the keyboard to add your message
9. Type your email message below the subject line
10. Click the trackwheel again to view the drop-down menu
11. Select Send and click
Receiving an Email
From the Home screen:
1. Scroll the trackwheel to select the Messages Icon
2. Click once to open the Messages screen
3. Scroll again to select the new email received
4. Click to view the drop-down menu
5. Select Open and click
6. Scroll to the top of the screen to view the current folder, the message status, the recipient(s), the sender and the date
7. Press the ESCAPE key to return to the Messages screen
Forwarding/Replying to an Email
From the Home screen:
1. Scroll the trackwheel to select the Messages Icon

Placing a call - to a new number
From the Home screen:
1. Type the first digit of the phone number
2. The Enter Phone Number dialog box is shown.
3. Continue typing the phone number
4. Press the green Send key to place the call
Answering a call
With an incoming call, the call options dialog box is shown on screen.
• Select Answer and click once to take the call or choose the green Send key. You can choose to put the caller on hold once you have answered the call.

• Scroll to Hold and click once to put the caller on hold

Placing a conference call
From the Home screen:
• Press the green Send key to open the Phone screen

• Select Call From Address Book
• Scroll to select the first required contact in the list
• Press the green Send key to connect to your first contact
• Click the trackwheel again to view the drop-down menu
• Scroll to select New Call and click
• Select Call From Address Book
• Scroll to select the second required contact from the list
• Press the green Send key to start dialing the second number
Your current call recipient is placed on hold while your second call is being placed:
• Click to view the drop-down menu once you're connected to the second contact
• Scroll to select Join to enable the conference call

Managing your calendar
From the Home screen:
1. Scroll the trackwheel to select the Calendar Icon
2. Click once to open the Calendar screen
3. Click again to view the drop-down menu
4. Select New and click
5. Type your subject and location
6. Use the trackwheel to navigate the New Appointment screen
7. Scroll the trackwheel and press ALT to change a field option
8. Click to view the drop-down menu
9. Select Save and click to store your latest changes
You also have the option to edit, view and/or delete appointments.
Organising your address book
From the Home screen:
1. Scroll the trackwheel to select the Contacts Icon
2. Click once to open the Contacts screen
3. Click again to view the drop-down menu
4. Select New Address and click
5. Type your contact's details using the keyboard
6. Press ENTER after each completed field
7. Click to view the drop-down menu
8. Select Save and click to store your new contacts in alphabetical order
You also have the option to edit, search or delete addresses and create new user groups.

2. Click once to open the Tasks screen

9. Select Save and click to store your new tasks
